Description

A blood test used to evaluate how well your thyroid gland is working. The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland in your neck that produces hormones that regulate metabolism, energy levels, body temperature, and overall growth and development.  Your home testing kit will test for Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), or thyrotropin, a hormone produced by the pituitary gland in the brain.  TSH tells the thyroid gland to produce your thyroid hormones. These are called Free Thyroxine (FT4) and Free Triiodothyronine (FT3).
